My story
I have worked for more than a decade in corporate P&L, Marketing, Product, Sales and what not. Still, I traded the city skyline for a different kind of intensity. I moved to a Tier 2 city to prototype a theory: that you can build a high-impact business as a digital nomad while living the “old age” dream today. This has been a trip toward a clearer vision of leadership and life. I have learnt more than what I learned while my startup grind and influencing decisions in corporate.
Lately, I’ve been focused on designing programs that show leaders how to stay fast-paced in business while protecting their personal peace.
List of stuff I did as Digital Nomad
Here is the uncurated list of what I actually did after quitting corporate in less than a year:
- Dared to live with my parents again for more than a month, rediscovering home for the first time since my first job.
- Hosted and attended events in partnership with the INDIAN LEADERSHIP ACADEMY.
- Took a solo trip to Goa.
- Completed a 9,000 km road trip with my partner across India and Nepal.
- Coached some incredible people while working toward my PCC credentials.
- Joined a gym and started taking my chronic health condition seriously instead of managing around it.
- Ran challenges like a 7-day no-scrolling challenge and made it work.
- Studied the brain science behind happiness, improved Training Skills and presently learning about brain science of having a Happy Work life for my clients.
- Got featured on a Times Square billboard in New York via Topmate.
- Moved my family to a tier 2 city to enjoy peace of small town, still figuring if this was a right decision, but watch sunsets across beaches every day
A lot of these ideas came from investing in understanding my brain and cognitive sciences along with a massive support from family.
Success shouldn’t feel like a constant negotiation with your health or your time. I’m taking everything I’ve learned from the corporate world and these recent experiments to help leaders build a more intentional way of working.
If you’re a founder or managing a team and want to rethink how you balance performance with peace for you/ your team, I’d love to hear from you.
